Collaborative Book: We’re happy to share our first limited edition collaborative book is near completion! The finished book details are as follows:
• Finished Size: 8” x 7.5” x 1”
• Binding: Japanese tortoise-shell binding
• Pages: 10 (6 prints, 1 poem, title page, index, colophon)
• Colors: cover (clay), inside and back cover page and spine (crimson), text block (gray)
• Book material: Binder’s board, banana paper, waxed embroidery/linen thread
• Limited edition: 12
• Title: We are still looking for a title. Suggestions have included: “Paths” or “Explorations”…
Important Dates:
Thursday July 7, 2011 – Prints due! Please make arrangements to drop off the linoleum block prints you have been working on you want included in our collaborative book at either the Art Department Office of Jill Odegaard’s office. Please include your name and the title of your print to be included in the colophon.
Saturday July 23, 2011 – Guilded Page Press meeting at Alumnae Hall from 10:00 am until (?). This will be our collaborative book binding session. All binding materials provided courtesy of the Cedar Crest College Art Department.
