November Meeting

During our November meeting we discussed the collaborative book that we will be working on over the next few months.

The final book will be a book of printed images (edition size to be determined). You are responsible for one image in the book. The images will be relief prints printed from linoleum blocks. The final book will 8" x 8 3/4" using a stab binding as the binding technique.

Bring to the next meeting an image carved into a linoleum block that measures 5" x 5". We will be proofing our linoleum plates at the January 29th meeting.

If you need supplies, please contact Jill Odegaard at jkodegaa@cedarcrest.edu. You can also pick up linoleum blocks at any art material store (not sure about Michaels, AC Moore and other craft suppliers). We have linoleum carving tools that you can borrow as well.

Full participation on this project is our goal. We want to move our guild into new directions of engagement in process and sharing of ideas as we move into the new year.

Happy carving!
