September Meeting

Welcome back everyone! Hopefully you all enjoyed your summer and spent it on creative endeavors...

Jill Odegaard is back from her sabatical during the Spring semester. Her time off came with benefits...visit the Cressman Gallery in the library from now until January 22, 2011 to see her exciting fiber and paper arts display "Intersections". In our meeting, we discussed the upcoming visit of book artist Donna Globus, who is currently working in Philadelphia. Donna plans to teach an all day book arts workshop sponsored by the Art Department for the October meeting. For more information, please contact the Art Department at 610-606-4666x3594.

We also discussed having a show displayiing art from the Paper Arts Guild members in May 2011. More details will follow.

Are you interested in collaborating with your fellow artists? Well so are we! Sylvia Gardner suggested we do a collaborative book project using printmaking techniques. This is your opportunity to learn how to make your own stamp. There will be a printmaking demo for this at the November meeting. Each member can practice with their stamp and work on their page for the book. We will assemble the book at January's meeting.

Do you have pictures of your work? WE NEED SOME!! We need pics for our website. We also need tutorials and creative tips you'd like to share with others. Please speak to Tracey Lopez at the next meeting.

The Guild generally meets every 4th Saturday of the month. In November, we will meet on the 20th because of Thanksgiving. There is no meeting in December and we will reconvene in January.
